EDUCATE YOURSELF! Even the most "mild"
of concussions, especially secondary and repetitive injuries, can
result in life-long deficits. TBI isn't an event that you recover
from. It's an event that you live with for the rest of your life.
There is no cure, only prevention. Protect yourself and your loved
ones with your knowledge.
MAKE A DONATION! No amount is too
small, and every dime will go towards assisting survivors of TBI.
The Officers and Directors of TBI Phoenix Fund are all volunteers;
we have no overhead, no lights to keep on, no clerical staff on
payroll.

BECOME A SPONSOR OR PARTNER of TBI
Phoenix Fund. We are currently working actively and diligently
on three distinct program initiatives;
RISING
PHOENIX: Our general fund that assists survivors of brain
injury to meet their on-going needs and assistance. Every
survivor has distinct needs and as such we will be supporting
different goals and organizations on a semi-annual basis to meet as
many of these needs as possible within the brain injury community.
Through the end of 2011, "Rising Phoenix" is supporting an
inititiative that benefits the following organizations in their
endeavors to aid survivors of brain injury. Contact us at info@phoenix-fund.org
Canine Companions
for Independence (CCI) is a national not-for-profit organization
that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by
providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to
ensure quality partnership. CCI serves people who have a variety of
disabilities, including Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Canine
Companions for Independence has found success placing Skilled
Companion Dogs with survivors of Brain Injury. In addition, CCI
Facility Dogs have been very successful when teamed with service
providers who work with people with TBI. For additional information

The Brain Injury Alliance of
Colorado and the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) have
partnered together for over 13 years offering exciting and
innovative Brain Injury Adventure Camps! The emphasis of
these camps has always been to empower each participant, encourage
independence and exceed perceived limitations. Participants
of all recovery levels come together in a safe environment to
challenge themselves and encourage one another while having fun in
the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Find out more at

TEAM PHOENIX; "We are not anti-sports, we're
anti-brain trauma". With the staggering concussion and brain-injury
facts related to Sports and Recreation, we are proud to develop
working relationships with, assist and support the following
outstanding organizations in the world of youth sports to help
raise awareness, educate, and prevent these types of injuries. TBI

SLI was founded in 2007 to
"Solve the Sports Concussion
Crisis" has a stated mission
of advancing the study, treatment and prevention of the effects of
brain trauma in athletes. SLI is perhaps most well-known to
the general public as being the organization that former players
are donating their brains to further the research of brain trauma.
In addition to this important and ground-breaking research, SLI
recognized an absence of awareness, education, proper
diagnosis and management of concussions, and began to develop ways
to raise awareness of the issue and directly educate coaches,
athletes and parents. SLI has achieved many of those goals, and
continues their efforts through their Coaches Concussion Clinic
program and others, and by raising awareness through national
media. Find out more at Sports Legacy Institute.
Sports Concussions.org was
created to help educate coaches, parents, and athletes about the
dangers of sports concussions and the importance of proper
management. The staff at SportsConcussions.org is dedicated to
raising awareness about sports-related concussions by providing
free training for coaches, speaking to parents and athletes, and
arranging community workshops with concussion experts. This is
also one of the best online informational resources for athletes,
parents, coaches, schools that is available. We're proud to
serve as one of the Colorado representatives for
SportsConcussions.org as part of their grassroots outreach program.
