FINALLY!!!!

In early 2011, TBI Phoenix Fund completed a year and a half long quest to obtain our 501c3 Public Charity Status from the Internal Revenue Service. As part of that effort, we were blessed to have five wonderful people from all across the western United States volunteer to be on our Board of Directors, and numerous others volunteer to serve in other capacities and on our Advisory Committee. We cannot thank them enough for making this organization a reality!

SPONSORS:

We would also like to publicly acknowledge and thank our primary sponsors, whose donations, time and efforts have allowed us to continue to raise awareness of Brain Injury and to make a difference in the lives of Brain Injury Survivors.

…and of course, thanks to all of you that have graciously donated to our cause, purchased our products, supported our efforts, and helped spread our message. Due to your generosity, TBI Phoenix-Fund is proud to have contributed into the thousands of dollars to organizations such as the Sports Legacy Institute, American Veterans with Brain Injuries, the Sarah Jane Brain Foundation, Craig Hospital Family Assistance Fund, Canine Companions for Independence, the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, and Canine & Abled, Inc. Please note that TBI Phoenix Fund is run entirely by volunteers and every dime that comes into our account via donations and shirt sales goes directly to these types of organizations. How many charities can truthfully claim that?

WHAT WE DO:

We consciously chose to structure our organization so that it is complementary to other groups doing such great work educating and supporting survivors of Brain Injury rather than creating new and competing programs. The dollars are few and far between for those living with brain injury and we feel we can make a bigger impact by supporting, partnering, and contributing to these groups. Thank you all for joining us in supporting these wonderful organizations!!!

Please see an outline of our program initiatives to learn more about our current efforts on our How You Can Help page.

For the last two years, we have distributed posters and table tents to raise awareness of Brain Injury during March - Brain Injury Awareness Month. We hope you'll help us expand this program in 2012 by finding locations willing to display these materials, and help us defray some of the printing and distribution costs. For Brain Injury Awareness Month 2011 we expanded our "Get the Facts on the Table" program to include posters and two different types of informative tents. We believe we are able to reach thousands of people with these materials, making these folks aware, perhaps for the first time, some Basic Brain Injury Facts. Thank You to the High Schools and Colleges participating in our 2011 Get the Facts on the Table program!
